Barcelona baby!

On thursday 19/11 through saturday 21/11, we went to Barcelona, Spain for Juri's semi-annual law firms conference. It was very last minute decision for me to accompany him because Kyrill was still so young and I was concerned about him crying during the late night dinners. It's also thanks to our good friends the Whites that the trip was made possible, she helped us a lot and went the extra mile on so many instances.I can see a whole lot of blessings pouring out from Heaven on them.

The trip exceeded my expectations. Kyrill was SO GOOD!!!! during the whole trip and conference; I was very impressed. Barcelona is fun and beautiful... It was still warm , where as in Belgium, it was freezing cold.

I didn't see much of the city because I only had the full day on Friday to visit (the day of the conference, while Juri worked very hard); we came back Saturday afternoon. I would nurse at the hotel then pop him in the stroller and walk around for around 3 hours then come back to the hotel and nurse him, and go out again. From what I was able to experience; it's a fun, beautiful, modern, warm, clean, and busy city.

Like I said, Kyrill was great during the Thursday and Friday dinners. On Thursday, we went to a Flamenco dinner show. I nursed him before we left and he slept through the whole thing. Because the show, the music, was sooo loud, he stayed in the lobby with the activity organizer (really nice spanish lady). We came back at around 1am, fed him, then he slept till 6am.
The show was great, I found Flamenco very interesting and not so much what I expected it to be. It was a very serious dance with very strong facial expressions; not a lot of smiles...

On Friday, Juri finished his conference at 6pm so we went to take a walk. The streets were even busier than during the day. The dinner that evening was at a nice spanish restaurant named "Farga" starting at 9pm (spanish people eat pretty late at night). Upon arrival, I nursed Kyrill while they served appetizers. It was my favorite part of the whole dinner experience. For the first time in my life, I was able to eat some real caviar. I was apprehensive at first, afraid that it tasted too "fishy", so I let Juri try it first. He said that I would like it, so I tried it myself. I was delicious!!! I ate several of them as well as as a couple of different ones.
Kyrill fell asleep, I put him in the car seat and he slept through once again the whole dinner until we left at past midnight. Once in the room, we put him in the crib and he continued sleeping until probably 3am then ate and slept again until almost 8am.

The little dude chilling
In front of "Corte Ingles", a huge mall

One of my favorite stroller. It's kinda funky looking but it's light weight, compact and versatile. Perfect for Europe!

I first thought they were statues until I saw people donating money and they would move a little.

The one thing that Lisa recommended was the huge food market called "La Boqueria". I made sure to visit it while I was in Barcelona. I was pleasantly please that it was just 10-15min away from the hotel. It was full of food AND people.

Meat

Fresh fruits (my favorite)

Tons of chocolates and nuts

Candies

A whole lot of chili peppers (not my thing)

Lots of fresh seafoods

Interesting fruit. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before.

After a long day of walking in the streets of Barcelona, we would undress (it was so warm in the room) and do some of this until Juri finished working and came to get us (my feet were dead after so much walking in boots with heels, not too high, but still)

Kyrill has started to fill up. Love the little rolls!!!
