first day of school in pictures

For Ilyah's first day at school and Juri's back-to-work day, we had a lot of snow, which is pretty unusual for Belgium. It was snowing pretty good outside.

Here, the kids are dressing up to go out the door.

Before getting in the car, Ilyah was a bit uneasy with the snow. He's truly an island boy.

We're trying to make school fun to ease the transition. You can't see on the pictures, but he has a crying face, and is really sad. He kept holding onto our legs. 

Showing him all the different games and fun toys the class has. He was actually pretty good matching the colors on that game.

This is our tiny house under the snow when I came home from school.
