Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Like I said in the earlier post, it unusually snowed in Belgium and the snow stuck around for more than an hour. Taiamani was so excited about it; she kept asking me to go play in the snow. I promised to do it right after nap time. 

So after nap time, we skipped the little afternoon snack and got dressed up for the outside cold. Everything was so white and smooth, it was beautiful. 

The kids had a lot of fun. We tried to make a snowman but it wasn't sticky enough. I was either brave or stupid, but I took off my gloves to grab the snow and attempted to make a snowman by special request. After a short while my hand burned and got red and painful, ouch!!!! I put my gloves on right away, and it got better.

I took my point&shoot and snapped a few pictures.

We probably stayed close to an hour playing in the snow. Then Ilyah started telling me that he was cold (and probable bored because he couldn't ride his bike in the snow). Taiamani loved playing in the snow so much that she stayed in the yard all my herself for like 20min before coming back in. Ilyah and I watched her from our veranda. We all had so much fun; the kids with the snow, and me taking pictures of them with the snow. They will make great memories, and the grandparents will be very happy.

It was fun playing in the snow but not so much driving in it. It was my very first time driving in this condition when I had to pick up the kids from school. We all drove like turtles. It was interesting to see belgians driving soooo slow, they're usually a bit 'antsy' behind the wheel if I may say that.
