I am so behind...

I am so behind with my my blogs stalking, responding to comments and emails. My apologies, I'll try to catch up.
Do you want to know what we've been up to these past few days? Well, not much really, especially during the week.
These past 2 weekends, however, we went to visit a few places. On Saturday the 9th of August, we decided to go to Brugge (which is just an hour away from Brussels). We always wanted to go there but we were waiting for a sunny weather (pretty rare here in Belgium :-( ) because we really wanted to enjoy our visit there. We were told that Brugge is like a mini version of Venice. The kids were really excited to get on the boat, they kept asking for it the whole time we were driving.
The weather was in fact with us, it wasn't too sunny but at least it was dry. The city and the architecture are beautiful. We really enjoyed our time there. The kids loved going on the boat, and if the carriage ride wasn't so pricey, we would have jumped in it too ( Taiamani threw a tantrum because she REALLY wanted to take a ride in the carriage, she just talked about it the whole time we were there). If it weren't for the language (it was a Flemish town), Juri and I could see ourselves living there. There are a lot of places that would look great in pictures. Unfortunately, I forgot to charge our camera battery, so I wasn't able to take many pictures. Here are some I was able to take :

It was a full day of fun for us, once we got in the car, the kids just went to Dreamland.

The next day, we decided to go to Church in Bonn, Germany to visit Juri old ward as a missionary. Bonn is around 2hrs by car, which is a LOT for me, but probably not so much for a lot of you. Bear with me, to drive around the big part of the island of Tahiti, it takes around an hour, more or less. Unfortunetaly, we weren't able to go to the Haribo (our favorite gummy candies) factory because it was sunday and everything is close. That's our excuse to go back there and take pictures.

Thanks you Chanell for the nice comments on the pics. I wanted to practice more in the wheat field but they already harvested them, bummer. We all had a lot of fun at Brugge, it's a really beautiful city. We like it more than Brussels.

Christina, it was high time for us to do a little travelling as we've been here for almost 2 years but haven't travelled much. We wanted to wait until the kids get a bit older. We try to go places, but I have to admit that I can't stand being inthe car for more than 3 hours, as well as the kids.
Being so close to so many countries and being in such an out of this world ward are really the highlights of our time here in Europe.
