Paris again

Friday August 15th was a holiday here in Belgium, which meant a long weekend for us, YEAH!!! Thanks to my cousin Elise living in Paris, we were able to go back to Disneyland once again. After a few weeks of Taiamani asking us E-v-e-r-y  S-i-n-g-l-e  D-a-y to go to Disneyland, we gave in. We took Elise's offer to stay at their appartment for that time. We left Belgium on friday after lunch so the kids would be able to nap in the car and would make the 3+hrs trip much more enjoyable. After our arrival, my cousin took us to a beautiful and big park 10-15min away by walk to her appartment. It was a lot of fun, especially for the kids to run around and see a few animals.

The next day we went to Disneyland and decided to hang around in Fantasy Land. It was a lot much fun than the first time we came this past June, we were able to do many more rides. Taiamani and Ilyah's favorite rides were the Carousel, "it's a small world", and Dumbo the elephant. So we tried to ride them as many times as we could. The dolls' house is still Juri and I's BIG favorite, we love it. "Fast pass" is a great concept especially when you have small children and you want to go to a ride where the line is HUGE. With it, you can just cut the line. It was great despite a couple of meltdowns.
We were all exhausted at the end, so we didn't stay for the evening Parade. We wished it would be at an earlier time.

On sunday morning, we decided to go visit the center of Paris by car with Elise as our live GPS. Thanks to her, we took a great route that allowed us to see all the famous places in a short time because we wanted to go back home after lunch. What made the sightseeing experience even better was that it was a sunday in August and there was barely anybody on the road. We tried with my parents to do some sightseeing in June but we experienced the awful Paris traffic, so it made the experience quite awful. This time around was close to perfection. The best would be to have your own chauffeur driving you around.
We then went back to the appartment, had lunch, said our goodbyes to Elise then hit the road back to Belgium.

We really enjoyed our time to Paris thanks to Elise. We just felt a bit bad for the appartment as it wasn't childproof and the kids were bouncing everywhere. Thanks to Elise for being such a good sport and understanding.

At times I think I could be envious of you! What a wonderful time to be at. I'm glad to hear you have family near by.

Elise is my only family nearby, the rests are almost 24hr by plane away from here, and the trip is extremely expensive.
Kattie, there's honestly nothing to be envious about. We actually would LOVE to go back to the States, ideally is Hawaii as I miss the weather REALLY BAD!!!

Thanks Margo, Paris is a lot of fun especially in August I heard. Everybody is on vacation.

Joshua, sorry if I sound rude but can you tell us where we know you from. I can't seem to remember you. Other than that, it was a great change of scenery and we indeed had a great time.
