Little Ruben

It's Christmas Eve, yeah!!!!
We are very excited for our neighbors because their hospitalized son is coming home this afternoon. He's schedule to have a cast on his leg today then he's ready to come home. We visited him at the hospital and took this picture by request of his mom to send to her parents.

It broke my heart to see him like this. I kept wondering how it would have been if it was Ilyah laying there instead of little Ruben because they're almost the same age and very active and mischievous boys. Yes, he had to be in that position for 3 LONG WEEKS and then he'll be in a cast for 4-5 more weeks, but this time he'll be home. He had to eat, sleep, do #1 and 2 in that position, with the legs hanging in the air.

Along with this good news, we're going to miss our "adopted" baby, Toby. The kids will be so bored now; there will be no more living, crawling doll in the house. I love this baby, he's such a sweet, content and easy baby, and look so similar to Juri compared to our own kids. One evening, when Juri came early enough home to help me watching the kids, Toby, I think, thought that Juri was his dad, so he got all excited to see him. Then when Juri left the room, Toby just screamed pointing at where Juri was standing earlier. I called Juri to come and pick him up and Toby just curled right into his arms and cuddled Juri. It was such a sweet little moment.
It's also funny that sometimes he just looks at me and smiles and says "ma-ma".
The good thing is that he lives right across the street, literally 3-4 steps from our door.
