Weinachtmarkt Bonn

This past saturday we planned on going to Bonn, Germany because we wanted to visit its Christmas market and the Haribo factory/store. Moreover, Juri served his mission there for a few months so it was good for him to show us the town. It was a 2 and a half hour trip from Brussels to Bonn.
The Bonn Christmas market is really beautiful, bigger than the one in Aachen, however the food was much better in Aachen. It's a cute town and because it was a very cloudy/rainy day, all the lights were on.
One Christmas, we'll be getting one (or two) of those light wooden pyramids. We love them. They're very common in Europe, people place them at their windows and it looks really pretty.
Here's what we got for lunch, good old german sausages (krakauer), some yummy potatoes and some spiced mushrooms with herb sour cream.

I thought this tower was really cute. I was surprised that it was actually the roof of a bar where people can drink some "glu wein", or warm wine.
And at last, it wouldn't be a Christmas market for the kids until they go into one of those rides. If you ask them about where they went that saturday, they respond that they went to the Christmas market Disneyland. Good thing we had some Haribos in the car to make them leave that train without tears and fights.
