Back to school and tooth fairy

At 8:30am today, it was the kids' first day at school. They knew about it for a while; they were excited about it, but when we got there, they were pretty upset because they realized they had different teachers and classes. I might have forgotten to tell them that they wouldn't have the same teacher as last school year; they had to move up a year.

Taiamani is in 2nd year of Maternelle with Mme Jocelyne, and Ilyah is in 1st year Maternelle with Mme Johanna (Taiamani's previous teacher).

Taiamani adapted herself pretty good to the change; however Ilyah was another story. He cried and wanted to go back to his old classroom. We agreed with his teacher that he'll be staying with Taiamani until 9am, and then she'll go pick him up. Poor Ilyah, he's really a mama's boy.

Very excited to go back to school!

The tooth fairy came

While we were in Tahiti, Taiamani's bottom front 2 teeth were getting loose because one tooth was growing right behind them. It really looked funky.

We waited, and waited, and waited for them to fall out and leave the space for the back tooth to grow properly. Well, this past saturday, we were watching a movie and Taiamani was playing like usual with her loose teeth when all of sudden, one fell.
Taiamani was very excited and proud to show Pepe and Meme her tooth via Skype. The Tooth Fairy came and left a €2 coin under the pillow.

We were all very surprised at how early she's losing her baby teeth. I'm not sure if it's a good thing. She did have these bottom teeth very early at 4 months old.

Anyway, she now looks funny with her hole when she talks or smile.
