For our Saturday's activity, we went this time to visit Valkenburg Christmas market which takes place in a cave. It was an hour and 20 minutes away from Brussels. There was a LOT of people and it felt really tight in there, especially with the stroller. I had to be careful not to roll over somebody's foot or bump anyone. It was an interesting experience, but I don't think we'll be back. It's just too crowded!
We didn't know until before we left Valkenburg that there were actually 2 caves to visit. The lines were so LONG that we just skipped it.
The arrow is pointing to the entrance of the cave. Now try to spot Juri and the kids. That's how long the line was when we got there at the opening.

The entrance. Each year they have a theme for decorating the cave. This year, it was a Christmas Carol.

It wasn't intentional. I just wanted a picture of Kyrill in the cave and realized what I've done AFTER I took the picture. Btw, he's not dead, he's just peacefully
sleeping through the whole visit :)

That's how long the line was once we got out, all the way to the city center. We were so glad that we came at the opening. I don't see myself with the whole family waiting in the cold and under the rain for that long. I really wanted to visit the cave but no to that extend.
