I brought my family to visit the Stockel market and all the fresh european produce. Eventhough the weather was sunny, it was still pretty chilly (for summer). We took a stroll there, the market is 10-15 min walk from our house. It was a bit challenging to contain all the kids but it was still really fun. We've seen lots of roses (my mom's favorite flowers, which we had a hard time growing in our yard), lots of fresh fruits that don't grow in Tahiti like strawberries, raspberries, cherries (my favorite), peaches, apricot, blueberries (love those too)... My parents grabbed a lot of each for all of us to enjoy, but especially for my niece so that she''l be able to tell at school that she ate all those fruits.

HMMMM!!!!! The REAL Belgian waffles are one of a kind. I LOVE them so much and they were fresh and warm (actually HOT).

I wish I had taken more pics of that day but Ilyah kept poking the fruits everywhere and the merchants were giving me looks.
Here's the little monster in action
Funny note:
The next day, Juri and I took the kids to the zoo (I'll blog about it later), so my parents return to the market. There they bought lots of fresh cookies (european), and 5 kilos of cherries ("they're so much cheaper than in Tahiti" they said) and people were looking at them surprised, even the merchant. My parents just replied that they don't get those where they're from. They then had to walk back home with all those stuff.
