I don't think of myself as a "girly girl" except maybe on sundays, when I really have to wear a skirt. On sundays, I really make a big effort like wearing a skirt, moisturize my legs ( I should probably do it more often though for the sake of my skin) and put on make-up ( nothing fancy though as I don't really know how to do it properly and what color are best on me, so just eye shadow and mascara for me. I stay far away from lipstick and especially gloss as they tend to accentuate my lips ( I try to hide them if I can)). I occasionally wear heels to go to Church.
If I could, I would be in surf shorts or yoga pants and T-shirts everyday with slippers on my feet. I don't do my nails, manicure or pedicure, never been to a spa, don't know how to do fancy hair-do with my hair, I don't even wear perfumes everyday (is it a big crime? and I hope I don't stink)... BUT I do flat iron my hair every morning, which takes maybe 10-15 min (now that my hair is short). So I don't do very feminine stuff every day...
... but yet my son, Ilyah, keeps asking me to do his hair too in the morning, to straigthen his hair (he has very straight hair). When I moisturize my legs, he asks for some lotion too and then spreads it on his legs. When I put make-up on, he asks "mommy, me too!!" and when I put lipstick on Taiamani, he says "liptick for Ilyah too!!". However, I don't put any on him, instead I keep telling him that's it's for girls and that he's a boy like Papa and that he should look up at what Papa is doing. When I put perfume on, he asks for it too so I spray some on him (I don't know where are Juri's cologne), so don't be surprised if he smells like a girl.
So now the question is, should I be concerned about my son?
Oh I forgot to mention that for playing, he likes to put on my only high heels shoes and walk around the house. His balance is amazingly good, even when running. Sorry I don't have pics.

Should I be concerned?

that's so funny that you posted this question because I was watching Super Nanny (I forgot the name of the show, but it was one of those nanny tv shows) and the parents wanted to know the same thing about their son. The "expert" nanny explained that this is totally normal behavior and he's just playing. She told the parents not to be concerned at all! I thought it was good advice.
Hi guys! I agree, it's nothing to worry about. Amadeo went through that stage, and I later bought him a shaving kit and he is just thrilled to use his shaving cream and his little plastic razor and he likes to see himself in his little mirror. Now he wants to be just like daddy and when it comes time for makeup, he still likes putting on lotion (who doesn't?) but the make up he puts on his sister. He likes to dress her up like a princess.
sorry, that was not from anonymous, it was from me!!
