Tuesday was our last day in Spain. How sad!
We had to check out at 10am, I think. We really enjoyed our stay in that Marriott hotel and appartment. We headed to the old part of the town Marbella, known for its narrow streets.

We strolled a bit along the beach and saw this sand sculpture. It was pretty amazing.

Here, the artist is watering the sculpture.

It was fun to be blinded by the sun.

One of the many narrow streets. It felt like we were in a maze. We didn't have a map; we just picked the streets we liked and we just kept on walking and walking.

Can you see me?

From the top of the huge wall.

Juri having fun getting ourselves lost.

We just stopped there to drink some fresh juice.

We are now living Marbella

On our way to Malaga airport. We felt a bit like we were in Hawaii or Tahiti.

Malaga Aeropuerto.
We left at almost 3pm. It was very warm and sunny.

6pm: Back to the dark and dreary world; Charleroi airport.
It was dark, rainy, windy, and soooooo very cold. We couldn't believe that 2 and a 1/2 hrs ago, we were in the warmth of Spain.
Juri trying to smile and waiting for our neighbor to pick us up.

So like I said, our neighbor came to pick us up, and dropped us off at the Proudfoot's house in Waterloo. There we picked up our car and the kids. They were excited to see us but didn't quite wanted to go home with us. They had to much fun with Auntie Julie, Uncle Miles, Michael, Emily, Ben, and Oliver.
The kids went to bed fairly late, then the next it was back to normal: they went back to school, and I had to do some grocery shopping and cleaning around the house. How fun!

It looked like you had a wonderful trip! I'm glad that you were able to feel a little bit of home in Spain. Good luck with the spinning class. I haven't gotten the guts to try that one yet.
How fun you guys truly had a great time in Spain just the two of you. I wish I could go there. Lucky you!
So THAT's why you had more color in your faces at church today! You guys deserve to live in a sunny, warm climate b/c you would really appreciate it!
