Espana Day 2

Sunday morning, we woke up at 9am to a beautiful sunny day. It felt really nice to be able to sleep in with no little ones shouting at you to wake you up.

We slowly had breakfast then decided to visit the city we were in, Estepona. We took our GPS and off we went. We saw a long stertch of walking area along the beach so we decided to stop and take a stroll with the locals.

We later found out that walking area was a bit more than 2km ( close to a mile and a half). There were a lot of older people, couples with kids, and people working out. It was a very windy day so we have our hair flying in all of our pictures for that day.

We were wearing our sweater/coat because of the freshness of the wind. It didn't feel like 18c degrees celsius ( 64 F).
It's kind of weird to be in the south of Spain and wear a coat.

We felt like we were in Hawaii despite the fresh temperature.
Interestingly, the sand is not white or black but more of an in-between color.

We went back to the Hotel to have lunch, and then we went to a scenic point in Benahavis. It was pretty high in the mountain, with the road zigzagging, and yet the locals were driving pretty fast. I was honestly pretty nervous about the whole ride up there.

Here's a pic with the road right off the cliff. The houses were also right off the cliff.

We then headed off to Puerto Banus, famous for harboring luxurious yachts. Actually the whole area looked very "Chic", kinda like Beverly Hills (not that I ever went there) and had all those expensive brand stores. People were driving their phat cars like Corvette, Lamborghini... and tourists were taking pictures. At one point, there was a guy who asked the driver of a Corvette to stop so he could take a picture, and the driver did, he posed with his car.

Interesting name for a boat: "Kindness to the World"
We wanted to test the owner's kindness but the boat was way too far for us.

We then went "home" and played some "Scrabble". IT was Juri's first time. He likes the game but didn't like the fact that I was beating him like nothing else. To our defense, english is our 3rd language (somewhat for me). We probably played until close to midnight.

Oh fun. You guys are so lucky you can just drive up or ride the train to go to a million different countries:) That's the minor pb w/ living on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere :)
