During the summer vacation, some friends from our ward let us borrow some "Liken the scriptures" DVD for the children to watch. We borrowed "Nephi and Laban" and "Abinadi and the King Noah". For those who don't know what they are (like us), they're musicals based on some of the Book of Mormon famous stories. I guess it helps the children to liken the scriptures. They look pretty funky, awkward the first time we watched them, but after a while we started liking them. As for the kids, they especially LOVE the "Nephi and Laban" movie, particularly the boys band type of video clip in there. Here's a extract that we found on Youtube (of course, where else) after we brought back the DVDs and the kids whining for it (we watched that movie almost everyday).
We've added those DVDs to our long shopping list if we ever manage to go back to the States. We haven't seen the other DVDs from that company yet though, we have to check with our friends as they have tons of DVDs.

Those DVDs Liken are pretty cool. We have the "Animated Stories from the Book of Mormon" which Hinarei just loves it. They are pretty old ones made by the living scriptures back in 1989 and unfortunately they only have on VHS but still have a pretty good quality. We might transfer them into DVDs. I like those ones because it's made as a cartoon for the children to enjoy. It has songs and tell the story of all the famous people in the book of mormon. I think you can buy the compilation on ebay for a pretty good price. I thought I would let you know about those. You can watch an extract on youtube Here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQR172AFRTI
Just thought I'd share the info.
Juri and I were actually looking for those animated book of Mormon stories. So you said that thery're not in DVDs, that's a bummer because we don't have a VCR.
Thanks for the info, we'll look into that.
That video is hilarious! It reminded me of TVA boys, you guys still have that video? :))
