Really sad...

Today, November 27th, I was supposed to go to the Aachen, Germany for the "day" to visit the Xmas market. It's one of those activities that the Relief Society Enrichment Group that I signed up for ("Get out of the house" group) organized for the month of November. I was wanted for it for like ever, and I was so excited to go there with other SAHM sisters. I marked it on the calendar, and planned the day so that I'll be able to drop off Taiamani to school, go with a sister who also has kids at school, and come back early enough that I'll be able to pick up Taiamani from school at 3:30pm. I'm telling you, I really had everything planned out.

The problem:
Our heater thermostat broke Saturday afternoon, as I was turning it on. We contacted the landlady( is that how you call a lady who's your landlord?), but because she was in London, it took several attempts to reach her. Only monday morning, things started to happen and the repair guy was only available on tuesday, November 27th at noon (that was the earliest appointment I could have). I tried to ask him if he could come after 4pm, but to no avail.
Juri tried to console by suggesting to go altogether some other time to Aachen (ok let's be honest, I told him that we should go there some other time, and he said "sure"). Moreover he speaks the language, I won't have to use "sign" language if I want something.

So here we are, Ilyah and I, freezing ourselves because we had to turn off the heater so he could fix whatever got broken. He's actually gonna install a new one, and we're hoping that it will also have a timer like the old one. It's very useful at night for the kids. We can't leave the heater on the whole night otherwise the it will be too hot, so we used to have it on (thaks to the timer) every 3 hours for 20-30min. But ever since it broke, we had to manually do it by going into their room, turning it on, and waiting for for 20min and then turning it off. Well, let me say, that we haven't slept much lately, because Ilyah would constantly wake up when we would get in their room. Last night, we put everybody in our room to avoid any night wakings.
I'm just excited for the thermostat to be repaired...
