On November 10th, we had a Super Saturday Enrichment activity with the ward and let me tell you this, it was great!!! They announced it a month or so in advance and I was looking forward to it everyday. I kept reminding Juri to make sure that he'll have that day off from any work meetings or hometeaching appointments or EQ meetings... because I needed him to watch the kids. My friend Cindy and I kept talking about it and were getting more and more excited as the day came closer. We just longed for undisrupted conversations and lunch, having fun making the crafts, spending time with other women... to sum up, having a relaxing time away from the kids!!!
It was a great Saturday , eventhough I was worrying about Juri dealing with the kids on its own for such a long time (from 10 am to almost 4pm when I came back after cleaning up).
The main craft of the day, and the one that most people were excited about were the signs for the home. Here are the ones I made:
We ordered the words from the States and had the boards made by a brother in the ward. Then, we each bought our own paint for the boards and painted them. There were several different sayings and everybody did such a good job.
The other crafts were a stitched snowman and a pumpkin. It was also a lot of fun but because of the signs taking such a long time, I had to do my stitchings at home. I'm still working on the snowman. Here they are:
We also learned about a digital scrapbooking made easy by some websites that let you input your pictures arrange them and they print out the books for you. They are great to keep and give away as gifts. If anybody would like more info on that, let me know in the comment section or by email.
I had a lot of fun and Juri at the end, did survive with the kids and the diapers. Everything worked out great.

I love the signs! Good job!!!
I want to know more about the digital scrapbooking.
Those projects look like so much fun! I wish I was in your ward so I could have done them with you! I haven't had that much time away from my kids since I was in the hospital in June and that wasn't fun time away. Come to think of it, I think it is time for me to have some grown-up time of my own! Lets see how Daddy (a.k.a. Willy) likes that idea!
I love the blog. The kids are adorable! I love that Taiamani has her hands on her hips! Haumata does that to me all the time!
Stay warm! Talk to you soon!
