As I was dressing up the kids this morning to go to school, two thoughts came to mind: the first was about how big our kids were. I still remember very vividly the days when I went to give birth to them. It seemed like it was yesterday... And now, Taiamani is a big girl and she goes to school. When I drop her off in the morning, she stays at the door of her class, calls me "Mama" and blows kisses until I'm gone. As for Ilyah, he's starting nursery this coming Sunday. We'll see how it goes.
Where did the time go when they were just barely moving? When you could just put them on the floor and they would just stay at the same spot the whole time. Now, they're running in the house, climbing and jumping on the couch, reaching the stuff on the kitchen counter (dangerous, especially when we're cooking)...
The second thought was about how many layers of clothing I'm putting on them. They both wear a long-sleeve onesie, tights, a long-sleeve shirt, pants, scarf, gloves, hat, coat and shoes. It takes me forever to dress them up, it's amazing.
Where did the time go when I just put a diaper on them? I still recall when we came over here last September, it was a battle to dress up Taiamani because she was just used to wear very little clothes, if any, and now she had to wear layers of them, and it was just not very easy to move around.

hidihi my friend!
Your little ones are so cute!! It seems a lifetime we haven't met! I hope you're fine!! I often see Merehau who is now a school mistress, Melanie works for an insurance company, Candice as you know works in Madrid for the GIE tourisme and I am still trying to achieve my aim: getting my CAPES to work as an english teacher. I went to the orals last year but failed. It's very hard you know, we were ten of us from tahiti at the oral examinations, yet, only one succeeded. But as my will is of iron, I go on working hard on that thing. I hope we are to meet again, anyway, I wish you all the best and may God be with you anywhere you go with your family.
Big hugs from your friend Raina.
